After NFS Underground, the series began receiving annual releases. Last year we were offered Need for Speed ProStreet, and as you might easily guess, a new installment awaits us this year.
According to John Doyle (producer of the game), we will once again be able to see an open game world and improved gameplay mechanics. Doyle also said that each NFS installment brought something interesting to players. For example, in Underground we saw tuning, Most Wanted was excellent in itself, in Carbon we saw Autosculpt and canyon duels, while ProStreet was, alas, a failure for the series.
All that remains is to wait and see what the 12th NFS will bring and whether EA can take all previous mistakes into account. The official announcement from EA is expected in 3-4 months.
