Publisher Bandai Namco has decided to move the game's release from April to mid-May. What is the reason, you ask? The most automotive one there is: the release of GTA 5.

«The postponement of the release date is due to the game being polished by the development team», — the publisher's statement says. If Project CARS does still come out in May, it will pay a visit to PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One users.

Based on the results of a series of closed tests World of Speed, namely the feedback received from players, the development studio together with the game's publishers decided that the project needed serious improvements.

The studio is currently continuing work on key elements World of Speed — handling, physics, and game progression. The main task facing the developers is to create a unique driving experience for the player, to reflect as accurately as possible the individuality of each model and its characteristics.

Players will be able to evaluate each revision and improvement in the next series of closed game tests, which the development team plans to launch in the near future to collect players' opinions and feedback. Based on the results of these tests, a decision will be made on the exact timing of the start of the project's mass closed beta testing. Taking into account the volume of revisions, the studio plans to launch the CBT in the second half of 2015.
