Slightly Mad Studios and BANDAI NAMCO Games Europe S.A.S have announced that the release date for Project CARS on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC has been moved to 17 March 2015 in the US and 20 March 2015 in Europe.

The delay is due to a desire to avoid competition with the numerous games from major publishers scheduled for release in the pre-Christmas period. This additional time will also allow the Slightly Mad Studios team to expand and polish their revolutionary and incredible racing product, which is being created with the support of an 85,000-strong community of racing fans and professional drivers.

«Our goal has always been the desire to give racing fans around the world a game that sets new standards in the genre; a product enhanced by ideas and content from the community that will offer players a truly unforgettable and primal experience – says Ian Bell, head of SMS studio. – Despite the difficulty of this decision, the change of release date gives the game an excellent chance of success, and gives us the opportunity to further polish the game to the highest standards that we and our community demand. We always do our best for you, and you will certainly notice our efforts during these just a few additional months...»
