Dyno Tuning
Apparently, to somewhat compensate for the overall “toy-like” approach to the car, the creators provided a hidden corner where the car can be tuned for each of the existing types of competition.
It is located in the Performance Tuning / Dyno menu, where after selecting the track type and events it is easy to find the Tune Settings item. The following can be tuned:
» Suspension
» Engine
» Drivetrain
» Aerodynamics
» Tires
» Brakes
» ECU
» Turbo
» Nitrous
A description of these parameters would amount to a full-fledged article in length, so I will dwell on just a few important points.
First, tuning is performed separately for each type of competition. Second, after all the settings, you can immediately drive the test track (Test Run) or run the car on the dyno (Dyno Run) to evaluate the effect achieved.
This is a bug: in the car's performance table you can find acceleration, top speed and some other figures. The units of measurement (kilometers or miles) are specified in the general settings, having a global effect throughout the game. But the figures opposite the speed ranges (0-60) and (0-100) are always displayed for miles per hour.
The first option personally seems to me more reliable — on the dyno many parameters will go unnoticed and will only come back to bite on a real road.
