The Future of the Project
Greetings to all users of our resource. For a very long time our site has been in a state of stagnation, it would be foolish to deny it. The administrators of the resource are primarily to blame for this (myself included). A significant part of the audience has been lost, the registration mechanism is horribly flawed, and the site as a whole looks as if it came straight out of 2007. In this form, there is no point in the site continuing to exist.
That is exactly why I decided to undertake a global modernization of the project (perhaps it could even be called a relaunch). At the moment, a new platform for the site is being developed based on Yii 2.0 (to replace the not-bad, fast and thoroughly reworked, but still morally outdated and written according to 2005 standards (without OOP) PHP Fusion 6).
What awaits you:
-Full integration with the forum: no more separation between forum and site accounts, unified registration and authorization
-A new gallery (already published screenshots will be preserved)
-An improved site navigation system
-No more ANR: they have been irrelevant for several years now. An alternative rating system may be introduced
-Moving most routine actions (adding a comment, opening a screenshot, authorization, etc.) to AJAX technology: a full page reload will no longer be required for such actions
And other changes and improvements.
In addition, for certain reasons, at the end of the month the project will be moved to another server; users will be notified about this a few days before the move.
And an important request to users whose account names on the forum and the site are different: please message me via PM (or somewhere else where you can find me) about your nicknames. This is important for properly transferring files, screenshots, comments and other materials associated with your profile.
And in the comments you can share your wishes and suggestions regarding the future of our site.
Stay tuned!
