Next Need for Speed delayed to 2022

Head of Electronic Arts' internal studios Laura Miele told Polygon in an interview that the publisher was forced to postpone the next Need for Speed to 2022 due to complications arising from the pandemic. Criterion will assist DICE with the development of the next Battlefield.

Miele stressed that the series is not closed, and Criterion will return to work on Need For Speed later.
