RaceRoom teases classic Mini Cooper and Fiat Abarth 695

RaceRoom has shown a teaser image in which the classic Mini Cooper and Fiat Abarth 695 Esse Esse can be made out. It looks like both cars will join the NSU TTS already present in the game — KW Studios spoke of such an addition back in the summer.
Teaser with two silhouettes
KW Studios has published an image in which the outlines of two old acquaintances are easily recognizable — a classic Mini Cooper and a Fiat Abarth 695 Esse Esse. They are shown only briefly, but their recognizable shapes give away both models.
Both cars are expected to land in the same class where the NSU TTS from RaceRoom already competes. In essence, the developers announced such a move in advance.
«Little brothers» for the NSU TT
Back in July, KW Studios Director of Strategy and Sales Christian Baur explained the idea: according to him, the NSU TT is a small racing car that has won the hearts of RaceRoom players, but it is lonely. Baur noted that the studio is preparing two «little brothers» for it, with the aim of eventually building a separate class around the NSU TT.
As for the cars themselves, the Mini is a compact British iconic car with front-wheel drive and forward-shifted weight. The Abarth, meanwhile, has an unusual layout: the engine is at the rear, drive goes to the rear axle, and the engine cover had to be kept open for cooling — hence its noticeably different handling character.
Not only Mini and Abarth
Other new additions have also appeared in the teasers: new Super Tourers, LMP2 and LMP3 class cars, as well as a French «cup» car. The German hillclimb track Glasbachrennen is also mentioned. Details may already be revealed in the Grid Talk podcast episode on October 16.
Another showing is scheduled for SimRacing Expo on October 17 in Frankfurt.
