Gran Turismo celebrates 30 years with a limited DualSense referencing GT4

PlayStation has unveiled a special DualSense that will kick off the celebration of the Gran Turismo series' 30th anniversary. The controller is styled after the fourth installment — down to the Ford GT's twin stripes on the touchpad. The second official gamepad with GT branding will arrive in stores on December 10.

The Gran Turismo series is approaching a milestone anniversary, and PlayStation is kicking off its anniversary program not with a game, but with an accessory. A limited-edition DualSense with GT branding has been unveiled — only the second official gamepad released under this brand.

Design: Gran Turismo 4 served as the basis

Unexpectedly, the starting point was not the series debut, but Gran Turismo 4 and the Ford GT adorning its cover.

  • Body: mostly white, with a pattern on a textured base that replicates carbon-fiber weave.
  • Touchpad: two black longitudinal stripes that reference the Ford GT racing livery.
  • Grips: the «Gran Turismo Association» emblem (the same one on the car's doors) and a redesigned round badge where the number 30 stands in place of «4».
  • Motto: «The Drive of Your Life» — an alternative GT4 slogan instead of the usual «The Real Driving Simulator».
  • Mark: a small sticker commemorating 100 000 000 copies sold — a milestone reached in 2025.

Dates and price

The company is not disclosing the size of the limited run. It is known that pre-orders start on October 22 — through PlayStation Direct and at partner retailers. The price will be $84,99 / €84,99 / £74,99. The controller will go on sale on December 10, 2026.

The series' history dates back to December 23, 1997, when the first installment was released in Japan; it arrived in Europe and North America in spring 1998. So December 2026 officially opens the 30th year of Gran Turismo.
