Race One Hub: Enthusiast releases unofficial PC port of Forza Motorsport 5

Under the handle LoZazaMastro, Race One Hub has appeared — a fan-made unofficial PC port of Forza Motorsport 5. It is based on the technology of the Forza Horizon 2 port, and its settings reportedly include resolutions up to 8K.

What is this project

Forza Motorsport 5 was released in 2013 as an Xbox One exclusive: the game was developed by Turn 10 Studios and published by Microsoft. It had no official PC version — and then an enthusiast under the nickname LoZazaMastro took on the job, presenting his own project Race One Hub.

The technical foundation was Azimuth — work familiar from the PC port of Forza Horizon 2 by Almost There Games.

Graphics settings

Users are promised a fairly flexible set of options:

  • Resolution: from 1080p to 8K;
  • Frame rate: 30, 60 and 120 FPS;
  • Presets: Original, Low, High and Ultra;
  • Anti-aliasing: MSAA;
  • Other: vertical sync, as well as fullscreen and windowed modes.

Early stage

The project is still far from finished and not without rough edges. In particular, after a race ends, the career mode interface is sometimes displayed dimmed — exiting to the mode selection menu and re-entering career helps.

It is important to understand: this is a fan initiative, not an official release, and it has nothing to do with Turn 10 Studios or Microsoft.
