Free Roam in Assetto Corsa EVO launches December 9 with update 0.10

Assetto Corsa EVO is preparing to leave the confines of circuit racing: on December 9, 2026, alongside update 0.10, the simulator will gain a Free Roam mode. For the first time, players will be allowed to roam freely across part of Germany's Eifel region near the Nürburgring — both on asphalt and off-road. Kunos Simulazioni accompanied the announcement with an official trailer.
From the track — to the open world
For a long time Assetto Corsa EVO remained a simulator exclusively for circuit racing, but now Kunos Simulazioni is expanding the project's boundaries. The Free Roam mode, which has been awaited since the start of early access, debuts on December 9, 2026 — it will be brought by the update to version 0.10.
Its main feature is the opportunity to leave the usual race tracks for the first time and set off to explore the world at a free pace, without mandatory participation in competitions.
What exactly will open up to players
The first available territory will be part of the Eifel region in western Germany — an area with picturesque landscapes, winding roads and the famous Nürburgring race track.
- Asphalt and off-road: in addition to the usual roads, the mode includes off-road routes — you can leave the asphalt and climb into less accessible corners of the region.
- Free drives: movement along country roads and small towns without being tied to a racing schedule, with the opportunity to evaluate the car on different surfaces.
The trailer is already here
The announcement is accompanied by an official video from Kunos Simulazioni: it shows the locations of the Eifel and how free movement across the open territory will look.
