Heatwarped: demo moves to Unity 6.6, gets Linux and difficulty selection

Arcade street racer Heatwarped from studio Sealime has received a major update to its free demo: the developers expanded the street car roster, added new spoilers and fixed accumulated bugs. The project has also officially arrived on Linux and macOS, and difficulty can now be switched right during gameplay.
What changed in the demo
The free Heatwarped demo debuted on Steam last summer, and in late October Sealime released an update for it. Besides the usual list of fixes, players also got extra content:
- Tuning: the game now has more spoiler options;
- Street traffic: more different car models now appear on the roads;
- Stability: the developers fixed a large number of bugs.
Platforms and difficulty
Previously the demo ran only on Windows, but now Linux and macOS have been added. Another notable addition is the choice of difficulty level. It can be switched at any time: both in the settings menu and when creating a profile. Three options are offered — "easy", "normal" and "hard". This parameter affects the behavior of AI rivals, traffic density and other aspects of races.
The project has also been updated technically: the engine was upgraded to Unity 6.6.
When to expect the full version
Heatwarped still has no exact release date — Sealime names neither a specific day nor a release window. You can try the current build for free: just download the demo on Steam and, if you like, add the game to your wishlist.
The full list of changes and details are on the Heatwarped page on Steam.
