Le Mans Ultimate and the European Le Mans Series have determined the winner of the livery contest: the jury selected the work of David Gibbons (nickname SimRacing Designs) from a shortlist of 20 entries. The orange-blue-white livery of the Oreca 07 will appear in the game under the ELMS 26 Team entry, and it can already be downloaded for free via the Livery Hub.

Who the jury chose

The ELMS and Le Mans Ultimate contest started in August: participants had to design an official livery for the Oreca 07-Gibson with the series and game logos. Of the 20 entries that made the shortlist, the best was judged to be the design by David Gibbons, known under the nickname SimRacing Designs. According to ELMS, it is an orange, blue and white livery.

The design will become the official ELMS livery on the Oreca 07 and will appear in the simulator with one of the future updates — under the ELMS 26 Team entry (car #26).

How to get the livery

There is no need to wait for a patch: the livery has already been posted in RaceControl's Livery Hub, and it is available to all players free of charge. After the update is released, the livery will become part of the game's standard content.

Online record and network test

Meanwhile, Le Mans Ultimate had a successful weekend: at the latest 24-hour Special Event, concurrent online reached 11,941 players — the best figure for the project. At the same time, the developers were testing the RUDP network protocol, which had previously had to be rolled back to the previous TCP due to multiplayer errors. The current run was considered generally successful, although there were some hiccups.

What's next

Next up for the simulator is the third and final part of the US Track Pass DLC — according to the developers, it is scheduled for December.
