NFS13: Rumors About the Upcoming Game
Judging by messages on the official forum, information about the new installment of the game will be announced in the near future.
Yesterday, a member of the NFSGame.net administration (known for their exclusive news practically from the developers' lair, that is, they are quite close to the development process) visited an EA studio, where he saw a new Need For Speed. Unfortunately, all of this is classified, so if he says anything, he could be fired. The only meaningful thing said in his first message was, "the next couple of weeks will be quite interesting... I'd even say you will be amazed."
He then writes that he knows not only who is developing the game, but also some of its "aspects." He really wants to write everything he knows, but, as stated above: a). he will be fired and b). he could be hit with a sizable fine. Again, there is one more or less meaningful sentence: "the game will feature innovations that many fans have been asking for over the past several years."
Next, he tells it very convincingly: everything he saw is radically different from what we have seen before, claiming that the game is exactly what fans have been waiting for several years, and it is definitely not some piece of junk (this game wont be crap).
In the next message (along with excuses that he is not an EA plant), he states that the series is in for a "refresh" (an update of foundations, etc.; in the original: the franchise will get a fresh «reload»). In short, you will be pleasantly surprised. He also writes that some elements of the game still need refinement. Then comes a comparison with NFS Undercover: UC also caused delight when first shown, but the 13th installment is something completely different, and it is far better than the recent installments. Innovations have been added on the technical side, as well as "special touches" for consoles, but, naturally, none of this can be discussed before the official announcement.
In his last message, he writes that someone from the top of the Company asked him to immediately stop spreading any information, and most likely, in the near future we will not learn anything more from him.
