EA announces NFS Shift release date in official press release

EA announced the release date for Need for Speed Shift in an official press release, and it is unlikely to change now. We are used to getting a new installment of the legendary series every year around October – November, but this time the game will go on sale in September. One tradition has not changed - the project launches on all platforms simultaneously. PC, PS3, 360 and PSP versions. Need for Speed Shift will go on sale on September 17 in Europe and on September 22 - in North America.

A revolution awaits us in the Need for Speed series, which began back in the days of Pro Street, when the series moved away from arcade street racing toward a semblance of a racing simulator. Shift is being developed by developers who already have experience with racing simulators - for example, with GTR 2; part of the team consists of old-school people, developers of previous Need for Speed games.

In Shift, players will find real racing tracks and real sports cars, some of the fastest in the world - Pagani Zonda F, Porsche 911 GT2 and Lotus Elise. The main focus will be on driving a sports car from a first-person cockpit view, and this means that Need for Speed is finally saying goodbye to its inherent arcade nature. Realistic car behavior, an advanced damage system, the effect of g-forces on the driver, a maximally detailed racing car cockpit - all of this sounds amazing. We will find out the result in September.
