Is Criterion Games developing a new NFS for 2010?

Despite the fact that Need for Speed games are already in development, a new rumor has surfaced:
John Riccitiello, while announcing Burnout at the Criterion Games presentation, said that they are working on a new NFS, which according to him should be released in 2010.

It is not yet known how much we can trust this rumor, but Criterion Games have already said that they will be working on a new NFS. But what will happen to Burnout then?.. Will the game be put on hold? Or maybe Criterion Games will work on two games at once... We can only wait for new information from EA.

It has also become known that, most likely, in 2011 Black Box will return to "making" its NFS again.
