GRiD and DiRT producer leaves Codemasters

Executive producer Gavin Raeburn, who over the past few years rebooted two major racing franchises of Codemasters, recently left the British publisher and intends to pursue his own projects.

Last year, thanks to Raeburn's efforts TOCA Race Driver turned into Race Driver: GRiD, which earned 87% on Metacritic. In 2007 the year saw the release of Colin McRae: DiRT (rating 83%), and a couple of weeks ago saw the release of Colin McRae: DiRT 2 (rating 87%).

Further development of these series will be handled by a team of talented developers assembled and trained by Raeburn.
