Gran Turismo 5 to appear in the West 'in summer 2010'

Polyphony Digital has once again reiterated that it is going to release a racing simulator Gran Turismo 5 (PlayStation 3) in March next year. The start of spring is simply wonderful. The only catch is that GT 5 in March will be playable only by residents of Japan. People who are not destined to witness the cherry blossom season will have to wait until summer 2010.
One of the producers in the American division of Sony Computer Entertainment Chris Hinojosa-Miranda designated «summer» of next year as the approximate release date GT 5 in the West. He did not delve into specifics – the game may be released either in early June or at the end of August.
Is any kind of «compensation» expected for the extra wait? «The details have not been settled yet, there is nothing to talk about for now» - Chris said. It is quite possible that by the time of release GT 5 in the US and Europe, the game will have time to be supplemented with at least one content pack. Chris, for example, only recently finished his trip across America, where he took photographs and gathered information about new cars. On the other hand, the game will already have around one thousand cars anyway. Only truly dedicated fans of racing sims will download additional cars as well.
