New patch 1.03 from Criterion for Hot Pursuit

Criterion Games has released an update for the PC version of Need For Speed Hot Pursuit.
The update fixes several gameplay issues that caused crashes and errors in the game.

So what exactly do we get with the update? We get the following fixes and issues:

The fixes address (47%) of the crashes that were caused by 10 serious problems encountered by players during gameplay. In particular, crashes, freezes and rendering issues on ATI Radeon X1300, X1550 and X1800 graphics cards, have been resolved. Fixes have also been included for Intel, specifically integrated graphics chipsets such as Intel GMA 500, Intel GMA 600 and Intel GMA X3000, which run on old graphics drivers.
A critical bug causing the game to crash when rendering on older-generation graphics cards that do not support DirectX Shader Model 3.0.(yes, far too many graphics cards without DirectX Shader Model 3.0 will be able to run Hot Pursuit, they're hilarious)
