Details on the profile in NFS Shift
We continue to get acquainted with the details from gamerzines.com. One of the innovations in Need for Speed SHIFT that is constantly talked about is the "Driver Profile" system. This is a mechanism that tracks all player actions and helps accumulate experience as you progress through your career.
The Driver Profile system is essentially based on an XP (experience, experience points) mechanism and is similar to what you could see in RPG games.
By participating in races, the player is awarded points in two categories - Precision and Aggression. The number of points directly depends on the quantity and quality of the player's actions on the race track.
Driving the car cleanly, following the racing line or making a clean overtake, you receive points for Precision. Conversely, by hitting opponents' cars, blocking them and racing hard and aggressively, you receive points for Aggression. You also earn points at the end of the race, where their number depends on your finishing position.
As you gain points, your overall level also increases. In SHIFT there are 50 levels; with each one you will be rewarded with bonuses, such as: cash, cars, invitations to certain races, a garage slot for another car, additional vinyls and other visual upgrades.
After each race (competition) ends, a screen appears showing the number of profile points earned with a breakdown of what exactly these points were earned for.

You can track your overall progress in a separate Driver Profile menu, which displays your current level, earned badges, career wins and losses, and how many points have currently been earned.
In addition, your profile is represented by an image that changes with each level gained and your main driving style. Online players, looking at it, will be able to determine your style and, approximately, your progress in the game.
On a separate Driver Profile screen you can check how many experience points you need to gain the next level, as well as find out in advance what you will receive upon reaching it and the subsequent 50 levels.
Another form of interaction with the Driver Profile is the Race Invitation. When given a chance to participate in this event, you need to choose the type of race: a time attack or just a race.
Although both of these types can be chosen independently, regardless of your driving style, the game will recommend the one in which you are strongest. For example, if you are a precision driver, the game will consider participation in a time attack better for you than in a regular race.

So, we have taken a brief look at the Driver Profile system in Need for Speed SHIFT...
