Problems with pirated copies.
It's no secret that nowadays many gamers, and not only them, use pirated copies of games on their PCs. Why? They are cheap, don't require a CD-key or internet registration (with rare exceptions), and besides, the licensed version may simply not be available for sale.
Yes, that's true. Based on my own experience, I can say that the first licensed copy of Most Wanted in my city appeared in 2007(!), i.e., almost 2 years after the game's official release. Therefore, I had to play a pirated copy for 2 years.
So, the main problems I noticed:
- missing in-game videos, apparently to save space on the storage disc.
- sound problems, up to its complete absence.
- ordinary game crashes in Windows.
- low translation quality; perhaps the translation was done using electronic translators, and they, as is known, translate literally.
- a problem that is a continuation of the previous one: instead of characters, incomprehensible hieroglyphs are displayed, or in rare cases even they are absent.
This is far from a complete list of problems resulting from the pirates' distortions (forgive me, but I can't find another word) of the game.
Summing up all of the above, I recommend using licensed copies whenever possible, since the pirated version of the game will not only prevent you from enjoying the game, but can also lead to improper computer operation.
