There lived an ordinary guy in the neighborhood,
In life he achieved everything by himself.
He sipped some beer and smoked Winston
And slowly saved up for a car.
But at home, either furniture or a rug to buy…
There was only enough money for an STI
The rich neighbor's kid laughed at the guy:
"Driving an STI — well, that's a disgrace!"
And he kept telling the guy this all the time,
After all, his daddy bought him a Toyota!
A rich little son who knew no sorrow…
But the ordinary guy was happy even with an STI.
Half a year had flown by since then,
The guy spent every day in the garage.
All day long he turned wrenches,
Cut the springs, bought a turbo…
The STI became more powerful and faster,
Six hundred horses roar under the hood.
The Subie briskly drives through the city
And at the traffic light lines up with the Toyota.
A familiar face — the rich neighbor's kid!
The guy recalls the talk about the STI…
The engine under the hood roars like a demon,
The green light gives the "START" command,
The rubber smokes, the straight pipe roars,
The turbo drives the air flow.
The STI swiftly surges forward
And gives the Toyota no chance to catch up…
A lesson to the rich kids, and the STI won,
Because this guy put his soul into it…
