Creating wheels
Now that one half of the car body is done, we will make a wheel for it! You can also use the wheel creation help, but we will make a more realistic wheel than in that help.
To do this, we will use a tool called Splines(Lines). A brief definition of Lines:
Splines - an arbitrary sequence of points connected to each other by lines; they do not belong to any of the objects. Lines have two levels in ZModeler:
Splines
- move Lines as a whole
Spline-vertices
- move or edit Lines by points
To create Splines(a Line) we must select CreateSpline and choose one of the 4. In this case we only need CreateSplineLinestrip.
Now let's proceed directly to creating the wheel.
Select the CreateSplineLinestrip tool and do the following in Front view:

...place the points according to the numbers. This will be the skeleton of our future wheel!
When you're done with that, we need to make the wheel round - it's easy!!! To make it round we will use the CreateSurfacesRevolution tool - this tool will make the wheel skeleton round! =) But for this, look at how it works:

Once you understand how it all works, let's move on to our wheel. Switch to the side view (Right view) and select the tool with which we will rotate; if it is already selected, click on the Line(point number 1) and then click on point 2, as shown in the figure:

After that, a dialog box will appear:

...do as shown in it and click the Ok button.
Now the Line (Splines) can be deleted, select
, move the cursor over the Line and press the Delete key. In the end, you will get a wheel like this:

If you learn to use Lines well (Splines) then you can create much better wheels than this! =)
