Need for Speed ProStreet: Car Modification
The "Need for Speed" developers have always paid a lot of attention to modifying the car in the game. This includes paintwork and various decals, as well as changes to various car parts such as spoilers, wheels and hoods. In Need for Speed ProStreet they went even further. Now almost everything can be changed. And everything will affect the car's physical model on the road.
As before, various modifications are divided into special lists, which in fact are simply sets of components and selections of certain settings. One profile is tuned, for example, for increasing speed, while another is tuned for drift. In different profiles you can paint the car differently, apply different images and vinyl. That is, you will simply have many different modifications of the same car.
At the beginning you will be asked to choose the tuning level. With quick tuning, you can use one of the ready-made packages. Each package has its own name and its own stats. This is the optimal way if you don't want to bother with settings. But if you want to get the car you've dreamed of all your life, you'll have to use a custom specification.
In the custom specification you can change almost any elements. You can change the engine, tires, nitrous oxide and brakes. Licensed parts will be used always and everywhere. As in previous parts of the game, some changes will affect your car's behavior on the road, but only in ProStreet will new parts give aerodynamic characteristics to your cars.
After you have upgraded the car, it is best to test it in a wind tunnel. Since all changes affect your car and its behavior, this is very important. Just as a gain in speed does not always lead to victory. By increasing one characteristic you lose another. Downforce and cornering stability, as an example. But the most important feature is that it is possible to create your own exclusive car that will not look like any other.
There will be a lot of settings; you will be able to change gearbox parameters, brake system pressure and much more. EA is currently planning to open a website (www.needforspeed.com) where various sets of ready-made settings will be posted.
