Binary
Binary is a powerful tool for editing binary files (.BIN, .BUN, .LZC) in games of the Need for Speed series.
The program allows you to modify:
- Global files (GlobalA/B)
- Interface and in-game resource files (FrontA/B, InGameA/B)
- Textures (Textures.bin)
- Mini-maps (MiniMapX.bin)
- Vinyls (Vinyls.bin) and textures in NIS scenes
The program has two modes:
- User — the simplest way to install mods via special scripts (.end).
- Modder — an advanced editor with a user interface for creating your own modifications (previously password-protected, now freely available).
Important: The tool is NOT intended for working with Vlt files (attributes), sounds, geometry (models), and video.
How to install:
System requirements:
- Be sure to install .NET Core Desktop Runtime 3.1 (x86) or higher. Important: you specifically need the x86 version, even if you have 64-bit Windows!
- If LZCompressLib errors occur at startup, install VC Redist (x86) 2015+.
Instructions for installing mods (.end scripts):
- Extract the archive with the program to any folder.
- Run "Binary.exe" as administrator.
- Click the large red icon on the left (with the image of three little people).
- Select the main mod installation file with the .end extension.
- Specify the path to the game's root folder.
- After the script completes, confirm saving the changes (Save).
- Done, you can launch the game.
