n4patch for NFS4: HS

n4patch — a set of patches for Need for Speed IV: High Stakes, connected to the game via its own loader (ddraw.dll) and .n4p modules. Each patch can be enabled and disabled separately: simply remove its .n4p from the patches folder.

What's included in the build:
- best_lap — displays the best lap time of the current race in the TIME widget;
- race_again — restarts career races even after finishing;
- tournament16 — career races with up to 16 cars, with settings for points per place, number of eliminated in knockout, prizes for 9th–16th places and amount of traffic (up to 8 cars);
- career_selection — selecting a career from a list (each career is stored in its own DATA\TEXT\CAREERS\<id>);
- custom_career — configurable career restrictions and starting balance (some features are still in development);
- uphill_fix — fixes physics on steep uphills and a crash when the rearview mirror is enabled on custom tracks.

Important: this is an alpha version. The patches are in development, errors are possible up to corruption of career progress — be sure to make a backup of profiles and career files. Game version 4.5 with veg patch is required. The loader writes a report on patch application to n4patch.log.
