Scout's NFSU2 UI Remaster

Scout's NFSU2 UI Remaster — a fan-made UI remaster for Need for Speed: Underground 2 by BlackScout. The author redrew HUD elements in high resolution: nitrous gauge, radar, speedometers, fonts, menu elements, and partially the free roam map. Most textures are increased fourfold compared to the original, while the author tried to keep them close to the original look. The mod is abandoned and will not be updated.

The current version is 1.0.1 (.bin); TexMod is not required for it. The previously released TexMod version is in the archive in the "OLD TPF Version" folder and is not supported by the author.

Compatibility: the mod does not work with .pal versions of the game, including the Russian localization.

How to install

.bin version (does not require TexMod):
1. download and install Aero's NFS HD Content Support: https://nfsmods.xyz/mod/2151
2. extract the archive;
3. copy the GLOBAL and FRONTEND folders to the game folder (where speed2.exe is located), agreeing to replace files;
4. the readme.txt file and the "OLD TPF Version" folder do not need to be copied;
5. before replacing, make a backup of the original files;
6. launch the game.

TexMod version ("OLD TPF Version" folder, optional):
1. launch Texmod.exe;
2. on the Package Mode tab, specify the path to SPEED2.EXE (4.57 MB, 4,800,512 bytes);
3. select the HDUIRemaster.tpf file (or HDUIRemasterMapless.tpf — without the map);
4. click Run.
