Local Cop Speech & Random Cop Speech — two plugins for NFS: High Stakes by pete9516 that expand how police voice lines work.

Local Cop Speech adds localized police and track narrator voice lines: each country has its own voice (for example, German Egon Hoegen and French Philippe Bourgogne). The plugin automatically determines which voice lines to use by track and works on the English, German, and French versions of the game.

Random Cop Speech makes the game randomly choose one of several copspchX.bnk files when arrested or ticketed, whereas the original always uses one preset.

Full functionality requires the complete language files in Data/Audio/Speech (the collection is available at https://nfsmods.xyz/mod/6965).

Installation

1. Back up the Data/Audio/Speech folders ("French" and "German") — their files will be overwritten.
2. Install the official language files into Data/Audio/Speech (the collection is available at https://nfsmods.xyz/mod/6965).
3. Copy all files from the archive into the NFS: High Stakes game folder, preserving the folder structure; if prompted, allow file replacement.
4. The plugin automatically determines from the text files in the track folders where to apply the localized police voice lines.
5. Fine-tuning is done in the .ini file next to the plugin's .asi file.
