Native Photomode (UG2)
Native Photomode for NFS: Underground 2 by Hydra adds a separate photo mode to the game, like in later entries in the series. It is built into the pause menu and relies on the game's own built-in functions, so the camera behaves predictably and does not interfere with rendering.

What the mod offers
- Pause menu entry. Photo mode is opened via a separate icon rather than a key combination through a third-party utility.
- Orbit and zoom. The camera rotates around the car, and zoom uses the original game functions.
- Button hints. The control layout can be hidden or shown via the ini file.
Physics and gameplay are unchanged — the mod simply adds a camera, and shots come out cleaner than with a regular screenshot.
How to install
- Extract the archive to a temporary folder.
- Copy the .asi and .ini files to the scripts folder of Need for Speed: Underground 2. If no such folder exists, create it next to speed2.exe. The .asi requires an ASI loader, such as Ultimate ASI Loader.
- Run the Binary utility as administrator.
- Point it to the Install.end file from the extracted archive.
- Click Save to apply the changes, and close Binary.
- Launch the game and open the pause menu — the photo mode entry will be there.
- If the button hints get in the way, disable them in the .ini.
