Multi-Layer Vinyls

Multi-Layer Vinyls — ASI plugin for NFS: Most Wanted (2005) by Chloe (gaycoderprincess) that removes the stock vinyl editor's limitation: up to four vinyl layers can be applied to a car at the same time.

What's inside:
* four independent vinyl layers — each has its own design and its own color scheme (four colors per layer);
* layers are stacked on top of each other, so a livery can be assembled from several ready-made vinyls instead of one;
* a layer selection (Vinyl Layer 1–4) appears in the tuning menu, and the corner of the screen shows which layer is being written to;
* layer sets are saved for each car in the vinyls.sav file in the save folder and are tied to the profile, car, and customization entry, so they don't "move" to other cars.

Limitations: game version 1.3 is required (speed.exe 6,029,312 bytes); the plugin does not support 8-bit composite skins and reports an error.

How to install

1. Check the game version: NFS: Most Wanted v1.3 is required, speed.exe size — 6,029,312 bytes. On another version the plugin will show an "Unsupported game version!" window and won't load — the game must be updated to 1.3.
2. Make sure the game folder has an ASI loader (for example, dinput8.dll from Ultimate ASI Loader): without it the game won't pick up .asi plugins. If there is no loader, place its file next to speed.exe.
3. Copy NFSMWMultiLayerVinyls_gcp.asi from the archive to the game folder, where speed.exe and the game data are located.
4. Launch the game, go to the garage to your car: Tuning → Visual → Vinyl. In the vinyl selection row, a "Vinyl Layer 1" item will appear; use the left/right arrows in this row to select the layer that the next installed vinyl will go to.
5. Select a vinyl and colors in the usual way. In the upper-left corner, "writing to layer N" is displayed — that is the current write layer. Repeat steps 4–5 for the remaining layers (there are four in total).
6. Apply the changes (Add to Cart / applying tuning) — the layers will be saved to vinyls.sav in the save folder (Documents\NFS Most Wanted). Deleting the file resets the additional layers.
