4GB Patch 1.0.0.1
4GB Patch 1.0.0.1 — a compact utility from NTCore that patches 32-bit executables and allows them to use 4 GB of virtual memory instead of 2 GB on 64-bit Windows. For older games like Need for Speed: Most Wanted (2005), this reduces the risk of crashes due to insufficient memory and is recommended before installing NFSMW Unlimiter and add-on cars.
How it works. In 32-bit Windows, an application gets 2 GB of virtual memory, while another 2 GB is reserved for the system. On a 64-bit system, these gigabytes can be given to the program — it is enough to set the corresponding flag in the header of the exe file. The utility does this without manual editing: you select a file, it patches it and automatically saves a backup copy of the original.
Features:
* enabling access to 4 GB of virtual memory for a 32-bit exe;
* works via a file selection window or from the command line;
* automatic backup of the original executable file;
* suitable for any 32-bit applications, not just games.

How to install
- Unpack the archive — inside is the file 4gb_patch.exe.
- Close the game if it is running.
- Run 4gb_patch.exe (as administrator if necessary).
- Select the game's executable file: for Most Wanted (2005), this is speed.exe in the game's root folder.
- Wait for the message “Executable successfully patched!” and click OK — a backup copy of the original exe will appear next to it.
- Launch the game. For another file, click Another File; via the command line — 4gb_patch.exe "C:\путь\speed.exe".
The patch affects only the selected exe. To roll back, restore the saved backup copy.
